Nellie was a true character in every way. She was a very successful ridden pony but her true vocation in life was to become an outstanding broodmare and at Royalview she has laid down a dynasty of bloodlines now quickly disappearing in todays riding pony stock. Nellie was a pure descendant of the infamous Whalton 'C' Line of ponies. Her dam was a daughter of the very famous Whalton Caprice who was Pony of the Year and was the dam of so many winning Whalton ponies for generations. We are left with only one of Nellies daughters 'Royalview Caprise' who we hope will carry on in her place by breeding us the quality animals we were so lucky to have bred from Chanel. |

1984 Liver Chestnut 138cmsSire: Basford Elegant Dam: Tawstock Miss Dior Supreme Champion BroodmareElla has been a absolutely outstanding broodmare for us at Royalview. She has bred us champion after champion everyone of her foals have been supreme champions in their own right. Ella was also a top ridden pony & in her hayday she was BSPS champion. She has never bred us a bad foal and she has been an outstanding broodmare in every way. She is now the grand old age of 24 and has retired from breeding but she remains an important part of life at Royalview by being nanny to all the weanlings! She currently watches over 5 babies and we really couldn't ask for a more devoted nanny for them! Ella is a full sister to Aldyth Moynihans Thornsett Miss Dior Ella Louise who was an extreemly successful pony both inhand and under sadlle and was herself dam to her famous black ponies Thornsett love story and Love affair. We have to thank Aldyth for breeding such a wonderful pony who has become such an instrumental part of our family and to Denise for letting us buy her! |
2001 Chestnut 143cmsSire: Twylands Prose Dam: Whalton Cap It AllCassandra is a quality deep bodied pony who is an ideal type to breed Show ponies or hunter ponies. She is Dual registered Part bred Welsh and Part bred Arab. She has only been shown as a broodmare with her first foal at foot back in 2005 but did extreemly well. She is a silver medal winner in both the NPS and WPCS affiliated classes and she won pony of the year titles for 3 sections the riding pony, hunter pony and the part bred arab section. She won and was res champion in very good company at the Royal Lancs and was a good second at the Royal Welsh show. Wins at Anglesey county and Nps area 4 aslo in her maiden year show what a great future she has as a show animal and broodmare. Cassandra is related to the infamous whalton 'C' Line through her dam. Whalton cap it all is a daughter of Whalton Caprice and cassandra is by the top sire Twylands Prose who belongss to and is the sire of some of Wilf and Val Davies' prize winning Chinook Ponies. Cassandra is now back with us at Royalview after being away for 2yrs on riding loan. She is in foal to Tynddolisa Prince Ibrihim for 2009 when we hope to have her out campaigning again! |
2002 Bay 124cms2007 RESERVE CHAMPION WELSH PART BRED AT THE ROYAL WELSH SHOW!!! Tallulah has so far had a highly successful career at Royalview. She was only lightly shown as a youngster but was supreme champion as a yearling and as a broodmare she has really done us proud. She has been supreme champion broodmare at Red Rose County in 2006 and 2007. She has won at most of the county shows attended including the Great Yorkshire where she was also Res Champion Broodmare. She is related to the hoys winner and pony of the year 'Ardenhall Royal Secret'( now exported to Australia) on both her sire and dam side. She is a grand daughter of the famous stallion Fairley Rembrandt who has bred a tremendous amount of quality show ponies here and in Australia. Tallulah has bred us 3 fillies to date and all are real quality show ponies. The 2008 filly is by new stud stallion Hightopps Jet and is a fantastic stamp of a 12.2hh show pony. 2003 Bay 128cms SUPREME CHAMPION BROODMARE!!!CHAMPION BRITISH ISLES FINAL & HOME PRODUCED FINAL NPS CHAMPS 2008! Fleur is our last Whalton Chanel baby! and we couldn't have wished for a better tribute to her dam! As a youngster she has consistantly won at the highest level and as a broodmare she is far exceeding our expectations! In 2008 she was crowned the British Isles Champion, the Home Produced final champion at the Nps Champs where she also won the home produced and reserve overall supreme Broodmare titles. Supreme broodmare at Red Rose and Supreme inhand at NPS area 5. She sadly lost her first foal but her second foaling was a huge success and the colt foal has also had a successful start to his career! We know only too well that Fleur should have been given the oppertunity to go under saddle and we had many tempting offers for her to do so but as she is our only link to our old nellie we felt that her bloodlines were to precious to let go of. We know we have done the right thing and she is a happy healthy and very much loved member of our family.
